For a small Christian school, CLBS offers a number of extra-curricular activities. In the fall, boys’ varsity soccer and girls’ volleyball are offered to students in grades 6-12. Winter sports include boys’ and girls’ basketball. Speech is also offered and students compete in February at the Minnesota Association of Christian Schools (MACS) Speech Contest. If the students qualify, they may go on to the Mid-America Association of Christian Schools (MAACS) Speech Contest in Kansas City, MO. In the spring, our school performs a musical and also competes in the Minnesota Association of Christian Schools Fine Arts Competition. Our school’s band and choirs perform as well as any individual or group competitions in any of the fine arts areas. These include: instrumental solos, small group instrumental ensembles, and a variety of vocal and group solos. Our students have also competed in physical and biological science presentations, spelling bees, photography competitions and a myriad of other presentations at the MACS Fine Arts Competition.
