2010-2011 School Year Information

Mrs. Tomlinson's 3rd and 4th Grade Class

 

I want to welcome each student and parent to a brand new school year!

 

*Classroom Procedures

           

            Students should arrive at the school 5-10 minutes before our 8:15 start time so that they can unpack supplies and prepare for the day.

 

            Homework should take about 30 minutes per night. This time should be spent studying for tests. Seatwork should be completed during the school day. If a student does not use time wisely they will have seatwork to complete as well as homework. A homework sheet will be sent home on the first day of the week. Please sign and detach the bottom of the page and return it the next day. The top portion may be kept at home for studying (the fridge would be a great place to keep it).  :)

 

            A folder will be sent home at the end of the week. Please go through the folder and look at the work that was done the past week. Praise good work and go over work that was not completed properly. Sign and return the empty folder on Monday.

 

*Ways to help

 

            The best way to help the school year to go well is to make sure your child completes their work correctly and on time.

 

            Another way to help would be to send in prizes for our prize boxes. We will have 2 prize boxes this year. One box will hold smaller items (pencils, stickers, bookmarks, etc.) and one box will hold larger items (notebooks, puzzles, games, etc.). Students will obviously have to work harder to earn the prizes in the larger box!
