Frequently Asked Questions

How does a person become a Christian?

The Bible teaches us that salvation is the result of God’s work in the heart of an individual, not the result of someone’s sincere religious observances (Eph. 2:8-9). The Scripture says that salvation is offered to anyone who realizes they are absolutely incapable of pleasing God in any fashion and desperately need a mediator to satisfy God’s wrath against their sin. Salvation (peace with God) is granted to those men and women who place their trust in Jesus Christ as God’s only acceptable atonement for their sins (Acts 4:12). The moment a person trusts Christ, the Bible says that they are immediately shielded from the wrath of God’s judgment (John 5:24) and are completely justified before God (Rom. 5:1-2).

When are services?

Sunday School for both adults and children takes place at 9:00 a.m. every Sunday morning. Following a brief refreshment time in our gymnasium, the morning service begins at 10:30. Every Sunday evening there is a service at 6:00.

What kind of children’s programs do you have?

In addition to Sunday School for children 2 yrs. old through high school, we also have a dynamic Christian scouting program called AWANA. The AWANA club meets at 6:45 p.m. every Wednesday during the school year.

Where are you located?

CLBC is located north of St. Paul between CR-22 (Wyoming Trail) and State Route 8. Click HERE for a Google Map of our location. We are approximately 30 minutes north of I-694, 20 minutes south of North Branch, and 15 minutes west of Taylors Falls.

Do you have any Bible studies outside normal service times?

Every Fall and Spring we offer a Ladies’ Bible Study on Tuesday morning. In the Spring we encourage our men to be part of an early morning Bible study that is usually offered twice a week. During the Summer we spend our Wednesday evenings at Home Bible Studies scattered throughout Chisago and Anoka County. Periodically there are other Bible studies that are spontaneously organized by our church membership for their edification.

What is the connection between Chisago Lakes Baptist School and CLBC?

CLBS is the largest discipleship ministry of Chisago Lakes Baptist Church. It is a traditional K-12 school devoted to training children for the glory of God. The rigorous academic studies and the challenging spiritual instruction equip each student to honor the Lord academically, socially, personally, and spiritually.
