In short, to participate in CLBS Athletics, at least one portion of the Chisago Lakes Baptist Ministry must be a part of the student’s life. Homeschool students who have been accepted into CLBS as part-time students are eligible for participation in our Athletic Program. Also, homeschool students who are members of Chisago Lakes Baptist Church, or who have at least one parent who is a member of Chisago Lakes Baptist Church, will be automatically eligible to participate in CLBS Athletics. (Students or parents must be members in good standing.)

Application Process

Homeschoolers who qualify as church members and do not wish to enter as part-time students will need to submit a $25 application fee, fill out the Student Application, Student Questionnaire, 2 Reference Forms (one to be completed by a parent, the other by a CLBC Pastor, preferably the Youth Pastor,) and must complete a parent/student interview with the school Administrator. The most recent progress report should be submitted; standards for grades outlined in the Parent-Student Handbook will be used to determine academic eligibility for sports participation. If accepted, notification will be sent by letter.

The Administrator reserves the right to refuse athletic participation for any reason.

Fees

$80 per JH sport

$120 per Varsity sport

Students must provide the school with an athletic permission form, sports physical, completed health questionnaire, immunization records, and health records.

Any student participating in CLBS athletics must adhere to the handbook guidelines, including the dress code and standards of behavior.  Handbooks are available in the school office. It is strongly encouraged that part-time and homeschool students that participate in CLBS athletics become regular attenders of secondary chapel.
